RTC or Real Time Clock is something what is missing on Raspberry Pi boards. Some say that its because RPi-people want to keep the price down but I tend to think that they actually want to teach you how to manage time if its not managing itself

By now my little “house” project has 3 components ready – relay system for switching, 1WIRE system for data collection and a first relay using component which switches outdoor lights according to sunset/sunrise. It seems that there is nothing more to do than collect temperature data, analyze it and do something based on results. That’s a hint about what is coming next.
